Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use lashedbymercedez.com or book a service with Lashed By Mercedez ("Lashed By Mercedez", "I", "me"). By booking, you confirm that you've read and agree to them. Questions? Message me on Instagram before you book.
1. Who provides your service
Services are performed by Mercedez, a California licensed esthetician (Board of Barbering and Cosmetology license #Z158232), in a studio serving Woodland Hills and surrounding areas. The studio address is sent after you book.
2. Booking and deposits
- Every appointment requires a $50 deposit, paid online when you book. Your time is not reserved until the deposit is paid.
- The deposit is applied to your service total.
- By paying the deposit, you agree to the cancellation, late arrival and no-show terms below.
3. First-time client offer
First-time clients can book any lash extension style for $130 total: $50 at booking and $80 at the appointment. New clients only, one per person. It can't be combined with other offers, and I may change or end it at any time; the price shown when you book is the price you pay.
4. Cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows
- Cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment and your deposit is refunded to your original payment method.
- Reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment and your deposit moves to the new time.
- Cancellations or reschedules with less than 48 hours' notice, and no-shows, forfeit the deposit.
- Cancel or reschedule using the link in your confirmation email. Refund timing depends on your payment method.
- If I need to cancel or reschedule, you can move your deposit to a new time or receive a full refund of it.
5. Late arrivals
There is a 15 minutes grace period. After that, your appointment may be shortened (with the full price still due) or treated as a late cancellation under section 4, so the next client isn't delayed.
6. Payment
The remaining balance is due at the end of your appointment, using a payment method accepted at the studio. Services that have been performed are not refundable, except under the guarantee in section 7. If you have a problem, please contact me before disputing a charge with your bank so I can make it right.
7. My guarantee
If you don't like your set, it's free. Tell me before you leave and I'll adjust it. Still not in love? You skip the $80 and I refund your $50 deposit. The guarantee applies to your set as it is when you leave the appointment. It does not cover lashes lost later because of aftercare, natural shedding, oil-based products, or rubbing and picking.
8. Your health and safety
- Before your first service you'll be asked to complete an intake and consent form. Please be honest and complete: tell me about allergies (including to adhesives, latex or tape), sensitivities, eye conditions, recent eye surgery or procedures, pregnancy, and medications.
- I may decline, pause or stop a service if continuing isn't safe, for example signs of infection, irritation, a reaction, or an eye condition. If I decline for a condition you didn't disclose, the deposit may be forfeited.
- A patch test is available on request at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you choose not to have one, you accept that risk.
- Clients must be 18 or older. Clients aged 16 or 17 may be served only with a parent or legal guardian present, who signs the consent form. I don't serve clients under 16.
- Please come alone. For safety and privacy, guests and children can't wait in the service area.
9. Risks you accept (informed consent)
Lash extensions are a cosmetic service applied close to your eyes. Even with proper technique and products, they carry some risks, including:
- eye irritation, redness, watering or temporary discomfort, often from adhesive fumes;
- allergic or sensitivity reactions to adhesive or other products, which can appear later even if you've had extensions before;
- infection if aftercare isn't followed;
- damage to or loss of natural lashes from rubbing, pulling, picking or improper removal.
I use quality products and follow California infection-control standards. Results, retention and how long lashes last vary from person to person and depend on your natural lashes and aftercare. By booking, you confirm you understand these risks. If you have any reaction, contact me right away and see a medical professional if symptoms are more than mild or don't improve.
10. Aftercare
You're responsible for following the aftercare instructions I give you. Problems caused by not following them, by other products or services, or by removing extensions yourself aren't covered by the guarantee.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that can't be limited under California law (including Civil Code section 1668).
12. Text messages
If you agree to text reminders when you book, you'll receive appointment-related texts only (confirmations, reminders and changes). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. See the Privacy Policy.
13. Photos
I may ask to photograph your lashes for my portfolio, website or social media. That's always optional and never a condition of service. I only post with your permission, and you can ask me to remove a photo at any time.
14. Conduct and right to refuse service
I may refuse or end a service for unsafe or disrespectful behavior, or if a client appears to be under the influence. In those cases the deposit is forfeited and any work completed is due.
15. The website
Prices and availability on this site can change. Booking and deposit payments are provided through Cal.com and Cal Pay (processed by Whop), under their own terms. Content on this site, including photos, may not be copied without permission.
16. Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, message me first; most issues can be fixed quickly. These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California, including small claims court where eligible.
17. Changes and the rest
I may update these terms; the version posted when you book applies to that booking. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the booking details, and your signed intake and consent form are the full agreement between us.
